'WOW,' AND HOW
Designer's no-pressure practices please poet
BY SARA CURETON
The work of local designer Teresa Perkins, president and self-described "design extraordinaire" of Royal T Interiors, a full-service home renovation and staging firm, caught the eye of one of the most influential figures of the past century, and the business opportunity of a lifetime was created.Perkins, a Chicago native, moved to Las Vegas in 1997. She always had an interest in interior design, and once faced with empty-nest syndrome when her children left home for college, she began studying at the Art Institute of Las Vegas. She founded her own company, Royal T Interiors, in 2002.Serving clients on a number of varied budgets and projects, Perkins tries to provide a "wow" effect with no pressure.
